We are thrilled at your enthusiasm – this event is now full!

Location: Royal Canadian Curling Club, 131 Broadview Avenue
Date: January 27, 2024
Time: 2:00 pm-5:00 pm

You’ve seen it on TV, now is your chance to find the button! We’re so excited to share the wonderful world of curling with the fabulous Queer Women and Trans Folks of Toronto. If you’ve never curled before, this is your chance to see what it’s all about and try it for the first time. Register below to save your spot for this free Learn to Curl Clinic.

Like to watch? You are more than welcome to drop by and have a drink, meet some new friends and watch us make fools of ourselves!

Unfortunately, the washrooms at the club are not wheelchair accessible. Entry to the club’s viewing lounge and bar involves two steps up, but all washrooms require a flight of stairs.

Agenda:

  • Welcome, introduction to curling concepts, and safety demonstration
  • Learning to walk on the ice, slide out of the hack, and deliver rocks
  • Play a very short game
  • Socialize in the club lounge with all your new curling friends! Enjoy some food, drinks and door prizes!

The Royal Canadian Curling Club’s fully-stocked bar will be open all day. We’re also excited to enjoy some free beer from Avling Brewery and treats from Creamery X. If you’re also interested in supporting the event please let us know by emailing us at riverdale@pridecurl.ca.

We’ll email you to confirm your attendance and share more details. There’s a limited number of participants for everyone’s safety on the ice, so please let us know if you have to cancel so we can open up your spot for the next person waiting.

Allies, as always, we appreciate your love and support but please leave these spaces open for Queer women and Trans folks.

Registration Closed – we’re full! Stay tuned for the next event!
