Gay Curling has existed in Toronto since 1962. What started with a handful of interested curlers has expanded to two full leagues boasting more than 250 members and ties to 2SLGBTQIA+ curling associations across Canada.
Riverdale Curling League plays on Sundays and Rotators plays on Wednesday evenings. Both leagues welcome novice or experienced curlers, and sponsor yearly bonspiels. Traditionally, these bonspiels are attended by more and more diverse 2SLGBTQIA+ players from across North America, and provide our curlers with opportunities for fun competition and lasting friendships.

What is 2SLGBTQI?
2SLGBTQIA+ is an umbrella terms that stands for Two-Spirit, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer (or Questioning), Intersex, Asexual and additional orientations and identities. Learn more about these terms from Egale. PrideCurl.ca uses this term in line with terminology currently used by Egale and its Sport Inclusion Research.
