[ Individuals Looking for a Team ]

If you’re new to the PrideCurl leagues and interested in joining Riverdale, registration is usually open in August of each year, watch our website and Facebook group for updates.

Our league is team-based, so while we accept individual registrations, there is no guarantee of acceptance into the league until you are added to a team. Teams will be prioritized for entry into the league based on the number of returning members, then the timestamp of the third player’s waiver received from the team. The League will endeavour to match interested individuals with teams, once you have filled out the Riverdale Waiver and Contact Information Form. Individual members looking for a team should consider posting in the Facebook group, attending our off season events, and joining the spare list to find a team. While it is sometimes difficult to get on a team, players who are persistent and take opportunities to socialize often find success.

For a great way to meet more members of the league, join us at the season-opening social (and Rotators registration night) at Pegasus on Wednesday, September 18, 2024

Learn more about the league in our Orientation Guide.

Riverdale fees for the 2024-25 season are below:

Team of 4: $2,000 ($500 per person vs. $420 per person in 2023-24)

Team of 5 $2,125 (1 x $125 alternate player fee)

Team of 6: $2,250 (2 x $125 alternate player fee)

The first day of curling for Riverdale is scheduled for October 6, 2024, subject to the club completing necessary maintenance and opening as planned.

Rotators (Wednesday Evenings)

Returning Rotators members can pre-register now by emailing rotators@pridecurl.ca up until August 30, 2024.

Open registration for new members will take place at Pegasus (489B Church St.) on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, starting at 6:30p.

New:  For anyone wishing to register, please note that you will be given a ticket upon arrival and names will be randomly drawn until the league is full. If you do not secure a spot, you can be added to a waiting list; the league will contact you if a spot becomes available during the season. If you have any questions, please feel free to email rotators@pridecurl.ca

Note:  Rotators has a commitment to further diversifying its membership and creating a welcoming environment for individuals who do not identify as a cisgender male, therefore, Rotators will open priority new member registration for up to 10% of its membership (6 members). Registration for this priority community opens on September 1, 2024, and will close once the spots are filled or until September 15, 2024. To register, please email rotators@pridecurl.ca

Fees for Rotators are $250 per half or $470 for the full 25-week season. There is no cost to spare or to be added to the spare list.

The first day of curling for Rotators is scheduled for Wednesday, October 9, 2024, starting at 9pm, subject to the club completing necessary maintenance and opening as planned.

For any questions, email rotators@pridecurl.ca.

Some important information to keep in mind for Riverdale:

Returning Riverdale members are prioritized for acceptance into the league based on the number of returning members – teams with 2 or fewer returning members are prioritized on a waiting list until the end of the registration period, based on the time and date waivers from three people on a team are received.

  1. Online registration requests, and automated acknowledgement emails, are NOT confirmations of registration. We will confirm your team’s successful registration by email in early September.
  2. Players listed as Fifth or Sixth Players do not count as returning members for registration priority.
  3. Once your team’s registration has been confirmed, payment must be made by Interac money transfer, PayPal or cheque/cash to complete your registration, instructions will be included in the team confirmation email.
  4. One payment of the entire team’s fee must be received by September 15, 2024. Individuals experiencing financial difficulty may contact the Executive to discuss alternative arrangements.

The date for our annual beginners’ clinic is the afternoon of October 5, 2024.
